Tim G. Montague's Story
Tim G. Montague began his journey as a student of the natural world. He earned a degree in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior from UC San Diego, then completed a Master of Science in Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. That foundation shaped how he sees business, systems, and the future of the planet.
His career took him from recruiting in Oslo, Norway to telecommunications in San Diego, then to co-founding a branding firm and leading fundraising that raised $11.4M for research at the University of Illinois Beckman Institute. He became a founding board member of Climate Justice Chicago before turning his full attention to solar. In 2017 he launched the Clean Power Hour, now a leading voice in the energy transition. Outside of work, Tim is a father, a pickleball player, and a sailor, and he is writing a book planned for 2027.
